Mulenga Mwamba

Mulenga Mwamba is the current Head of Department for the Victim Support Unit (VSU) under the Zambia Police Service. He holds a BA in Development Studies, a Diploma in Human Resource Development and a certificate in law and police duties. In addition to his current role, he works with different NGOs in Zambia on women’s and children’s rights, focusing on ways to ensure these rights are fully protected. He also participated in the Erasmus+ mobility programme (2020) at Palacký University, with Zambia Catholic University as his home university.

Lesotho
Sebolelo Cynthia Moorosi – Co‑Ambassador
Sebolelo Cynthia Moorosi is a dedicated education professional holding an MAEd in Curriculum Studies, with strong expertise in teaching, curriculum development and academic leadership. She has served as Head of English in a high school, demonstrating strong organisational skills and a clear commitment to academic excellence.
She has also worked as an English Lecturer at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology and, in 2025, became an Advanced Subsidiary English educator at Lesotho China Fellowship Collegiate. She presented a research paper on English language teaching and learning at the 65th Daugavpils University Conference, reflecting active engagement in professional discourse.
Outside work, she enjoys reading, writing, travelling, cooking and sewing, reflecting a well-rounded personality with creativity and a commitment to continuous learning.

Malawi
Ethel Patience Kachala – Co‑Ambassador
Ethel Patience Kachala holds a Master’s degree in Education Administration and Management, obtained at Kampala International University in Uganda through the Mwalimu Nyerere African Union Scholarship Mobility Programme (2015–2017). This mobility programme opened significant opportunities for her, particularly in the disability sector.
She has been actively advocating for the rights of persons with disabilities in Malawi for nearly ten years. In 2024, she was promoted to the position of Director of Programmes at the Federation of Disability Organisations in Malawi (FEDOMA).
She is currently interested in pursuing a research programme focused on disability and human rights in the African context.

Mozambique
Onésia Lurdes Estêvão – Co‑Ambassador
Onésia Lurdes Estêvão holds a Bachelor’s degree in Portuguese Language Teaching and a Master’s degree in Gender and Development. She is a university lecturer and serves as Deputy Director of Teaching. Her research focuses on linguistics and gender, with a particular emphasis on gender equality in agriculture.
She has extensive experience working with non-governmental organisations and farmers’ associations, where she provides training on gender-related issues.
She has also undertaken international mobility placements at Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia), the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (India) and the University of the Free State (South Africa). Through these experiences, she has strengthened her expertise in gender-focused research methodologies and contributed to knowledge exchange in areas such as water supply and sanitation development programmes.

Namibia
Rauna Ndatipo – Co‑Ambassador
Rauna Ndatipo is a Namibian Erasmus+ alumna and the current ASAF Co‑Ambassador for Namibia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Clinical Psychology and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the University of Namibia (UNAM).
In 2022, she was awarded an Erasmus+ scholarship and completed a mobility programme at the University of Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic, alongside her studies at UNAM. Professionally, she has experience in administrative and operational roles across both the NGO sector and the marketing industry, and she has also gained exposure to legal practice, strengthening her ability to conduct legal research, analyse cases and understand the practical application of the law.
Her research interests focus on youth empowerment, civic education and expanding access to opportunities, particularly for underrepresented communities. She is passionate about education equity (SDG 4), international mobility and making legal knowledge more accessible through creative platforms such as storytelling, podcasts and public dialogue, and she is committed to community engagement, mentorship and building strong alumni networks.

Thendo Mafame – Co‑Ambassador
Thendo Mafame is an Urban Geography lecturer at Sol Plaatje University, South Africa. She holds a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning from Stellenbosch University and a Master’s degree in Development and International Cooperation from the University of Jyväskylä in Finland. Her research and professional work focus on inclusive public spaces, placemaking and urban livelihoods.
Her period of academic mobility at the University of Jyväskylä strengthened her engagement in international collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Gift Mutengo – Co‑Ambassador
Gift Mutengo holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Development Studies. She is a beneficiary of the Erasmus+ Student Mobility Programme and completed her mobility at Palacký University Olomouc in the Czech Republic.
She is a researcher specialising in project planning, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, with a focus on social and rural development research. Her areas of expertise include impact assessment and policy analysis.
