Mohamed Salem El Mahmoud Hamed, ASAF Regional Coordinator for Northern Africa

Mohamed Salem El Mahmoud Hamed is Head of the Chemistry Laboratory at the National Office for Sanitary Inspection of Fish and Aquaculture Products in Mauritania.

During his PhD studies at the University of Nouakchott, he completed Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility periods at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) in Spain. In parallel, he is involved in teaching activities at several higher education institutions in Nouakchott, including the Higher Polytechnic School, the University of Nouakchott and the Higher Institute of Marine Sciences at the Naval Academy.

He is committed to actively supporting and promoting the Association’s mission and activities in Mauritania.

Algeria

Makhloufi Abdelouahab – Co‑Ambassador

 

Makhloufi Abdelouahab, ASAF co‑ambassador for Algeria

Makhloufi Abdelouahab is a Full Professor in Communication, Media, and Information and Communication Technologies. He holds a PhD in Information and Communication Sciences from Paris Sorbonne Nord University.

His academic and research career focuses on digital transformation, media studies, public relations and the impact of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, on communication processes and society. He has been actively involved in higher education teaching, research supervision and the coordination of national and international academic projects, including Erasmus+ initiatives, with a strong focus on digital innovation and ICT integration in teaching and learning.

His Erasmus+ staff mobility at the University of Porto (Portugal) strengthened his international academic collaboration and engagement with European higher education networks. His role within ASAF reflects his strong commitment to fostering global academic collaboration, strengthening Erasmus+ engagement, and contributing to the development of a dynamic and connected academic community.

Egypt

Mohamed Hesham Abu ElEnain – Co‑Ambassador
 

Mohamed Hesham Abu ElEnain, ASAF co-ambassador for Egypt

Mohamed Hesham Abu ElEnain is an Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at Misr University for Science & Technology, with a strong commitment to advancing education, clinical practice and research in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and manual therapy.

With more than twenty years of experience, he focuses on transferring academic knowledge and clinical expertise to students while continuing his post‑PhD research and scientific publications.

Alongside his academic work, he is an international post‑doctoral researcher and teaching scholar and holds the Certified International Professional Trainer (CIPT) credential. He completed two Erasmus+ scholar exchange mobilities at Lucian Blaga University in Romania in 2017 and 2019.

Morocco

Amine En‑Najah – Co‑Ambassador

 

Amine En‑Najah, ASAF co‑ambassador for Morocco

Amine En‑Najah is a fifth‑year PhD candidate with a profile combining academic research and professional experience in financial management.

Alongside his doctoral studies, he works as Financial Manager in a holding group overseeing several companies, where he is responsible for financial supervision, budget steering and strategic development support.

He completed a doctoral Erasmus+ mobility at the University of Seville, Spain, which led to the publication of a scientific article.

Tunisia

Nosra Methneni – Co‑Ambassador

 

Nosra Methneni, ASAF co‑ambassador for Tunisia

Nosra Methneni is a lecturer and researcher in Tunisia specialising in biological sciences and biotechnology. She obtained her PhD in 2021 from the University of Monastir.

She strengthened her research profile through a 10‑month Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Excellence Grant with the University of Southern Brittany in France, followed by a two‑year postdoctoral fellowship.

She is actively involved in national and international research projects and regularly participates in training sessions, workshops and conferences. Her work includes scientific articles published in specialised journals as well as a book. Nosra is also an active member of several scientific and professional associations.
