The current contract is jointly implemented by OBREAL and EUA.
OBREAL is an association of higher education institutions, university associations and research centres with an inter-regional mandate and membership scope, committed to strengthening South-South- North cooperation within and between regions. OBREAL’s mission is to:
Promote dialogue and synergies between governmental, academic and social sectors, taking into account the specificities and heterogeneity of each region around the world;
Create cross-regional, South-South-North, global bridges for enhanced development in the higher education and research sectors specifically, via collaborative multi-regional projects.
OBREAL is active in knowledge generation, capacity development projects and policy dialogue and believes each of these pillars informs and enhances the others.
The European University Association (EUA) represents more than 850 universities and national rectors’ conferences in 49 countries of the European Higher Education Ared, which includes also twelve HERE Countries.
EUA provides unrivalled opportunities for members to share best practices by participating in projects, events and other mutual-learning activities involving a wide range of universities and ensures that the independent voice of universities is heard in Europe, and internationally.
Jointly with members and European partners, it also contributes to policy making: It is a “consultative member” in the Bologna Process, and influences European Union policies on higher education, research and innovation.
EUA also engages internationally in dialogue, and sometimes in cooperation projects. It has been working with partners around the world, including in HERE countries.
