Problem statement
Digital credentials are a priority issue for many higher education institutions and European Universities alliances, especially with a view to credentials for joint programmes, micro-credentials and European Degree-labelled programmes.
Next to the European Digital Credentials for Learning (EDC) ecosystem already in place, digital education credentials are being addressed in the context of the EU Digital Identity wallet and the forthcoming Skills Portability Initiative (SPI).
Use Case
Results
- Use of the existing EDC profile and recommendations for specific profiles (e.g. Diploma Supplement, micro-credential) responding to higher education institutions’/alliances’ use cases
- Good practices for issuing European Degree-labelled and other joint degrees as digital credentials
- Recommendations and revisions in light of the Skills Portability Initiative (SPI)
