On August 17 2023, over 300 undergraduate and graduate students, teachers, professors, and professionals gathered at the Feria de Oportunidades, an event aimed at providing valuable insights into study opportunities and scholarships. The event, organized by AUCI (the Uruguayan Agency for International Cooperation), took place at the Intendencia of Rivera, offering a platform for students and educators to connect with various organizations, embassies, and international agencies.

The fair was a hub of information, where representatives from different institutions provided details about educational opportunities available to students, including study abroad programs, scholarship options, and various academic offerings. One of the key highlights of the event was the presentation by Alejandro Quinteros, the focal point of the Erasmus+ program. Quinteros introduced the exciting possibilities of the Erasmus+ program, with a special focus on the Erasmus Mundus joint master’s programs. He also explained the process for applying to these prestigious opportunities, offering students and professionals valuable advice on how to make the most of the program.

The event not only provided essential resources for those looking to further their education but also created a space for networking and sharing experiences among individuals from diverse academic and professional backgrounds. By bringing together students, teachers, and industry leaders, the Feria de Oportunidades successfully facilitated connections that will likely lead to new educational and professional prospects.

For those unable to attend, the event underscored the growing importance of international education and the role that global programs, such as Erasmus+, can play in expanding opportunities for students around the world. As education continues to evolve, initiatives like the Feria de Oportunidades are vital in helping students navigate the complex landscape of higher education and career development.
