On March 6, the National Association of Universities and Higher Education Institutions (ANUIES), in collaboration with the Mexican Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation (SECIHTI), organized a webinar on the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships and French-Mexican scientific cooperation. The event was co-hosted by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR), France Universités, the Embassy of France in Mexico, the Embassy of Mexico in France, the French-Mexican University House (MUFRAMEX), and the ECOS Nord Scientific Committee.

The primary objective of the webinar was to promote the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships, the ECOS Nord program, and the scientific network fostered by MUFRAMEX. Additionally, participants received an overview of doctoral and postdoctoral scholarship programs offered by the governments of Mexico and France. The session also highlighted the EURAXESS platform and included a testimonial from Dr. Frida Loria Salinas, who conducted a research stay at the Pasteur Institute through an MSCA fellowship.

The event attracted over 300 researchers and university officials from both countries, reflecting a strong interest in applying for MSCA fellowships and strengthening bilateral academic collaboration.

During his address, César Eduardo Gutiérrez Jurado, Executive Director of Institutional Strengthening at ANUIES and Erasmus+ National Focal Point (ENFP), emphasized the importance of collaboration with European programs such as Erasmus+ and the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. He highlighted that these initiatives enhance academic exchange and scientific cooperation with France, reinforcing ANUIES' role in advancing the internationalization of higher education.

Gutiérrez Jurado also underscored ANUIES' important role in integrating Mexican universities into the European knowledge space. By facilitating student and faculty mobility, joint research projects, and scientific network development, ANUIES contributes to positioning Mexico as a key strategic partner in the global landscape of education and science.
