Dr. Yvonne Palma: Advancing Erasmus+ Opportunities in Belize

As the officially nominated Erasmus+ National Focal Point (ENFP) for Belize, Dr. Yvonne Palma has been actively engaged in promoting educational opportunities for Belizean students and institutions. In her role, she has facilitated access to Erasmus+ programs, fostering international collaboration and capacity building within the education sector.

Participation in the Consortium for Belize Educational Cooperation College Fair

Dr. Yvonne Palma represented Erasmus+ at the annual Consortium for Belize Educational Cooperation College Fair, held in Belmopan. In collaboration with the European Union Delegate’s Office, she provided valuable information about Study in Europe, the Erasmus+ Programme, and the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Scholarship.

During the event, Dr. Palma engaged with students eager to explore higher education opportunities in Europe. Many students visited the Erasmus+ booth, where they received insights on scholarships, application processes, and study programs across various European institutions.

Strengthening Capacity Building in Vocational Education and Training (VET)

Beyond sharing scholarship information, Dr. Palma also focused on enhancing collaboration in capacity building in Vocational Education and Training (VET). She engaged in discussions with personnel from the University of Belize, exploring potential partnerships and initiatives that could strengthen the vocational education landscape in Belize through Erasmus+ funding opportunities.
