OVERVIEW

The TAM “Toward Green Education: Development of Competencies on Green Universities in Armenia” focused on strengthening knowledge and institutional capacity related to sustainability in higher education. The webinar explored how Armenian universities can adopt greening strategies aligned with European standards, enhance sustainability competencies, and integrate environmentally responsible practices into governance, teaching, research, and campus management.

The programme covered four major thematic blocks: understanding sustainability principles, analysing greening initiatives in European HEIs, exploring challenges faced by EU universities, and examining the EUGREEN alliance as a model for green transformation. The sessions were delivered mainly through PowerPoint presentations enriched with over 50 practical examples and web links, followed by Q&A segments that encouraged open discussion. Participants exchanged experiences, reflected on local challenges, and considered how to translate EU good practices into actionable strategies within the Armenian context.
