OVERVIEW

The seiminar focused on strengthening the understanding and implementation of Quality Assurance (QA) in higher education at both institutional and national levels. Organised over two consecutive days, the event aimed to explore international and European experiences in QA management systems, accreditation processes, and best practices.

The TAM provided participants with an opportunity to analyse the ENQA framework and compare different QA models—such as programme-level and institutional accreditation, as well as subject-specific and multidisciplinary approaches. Discussions addressed the types and duration of accreditation decisions, the role of ministries in their implementation, and the impact on students enrolled in non-accredited programmes.

Participants also examined the specificity of QA systems at various education levels, including master’s and doctoral studies, and reviewed European institutional practices in QA management. The event facilitated the exchange of international experiences, identification of best practices, and reflection on strategies for improving institutional QA frameworks in line with European standards and principles.
