ASAF delivers activities that connect people, amplify voices and transform mobility experiences into collective impact, across African and beyond. 

From main annual events to local and regional initiatives, ASAF activities create spaces where students, alumni and scholars engage, learn and feel part of a shared community.

ASAF delivers a wide range of activities supporting African students and alumni at different stages of their mobility and professional journeys. These activities transform international learning into practical skills, engagement and community-led action. These include:

• Conferences and events: Public and thematic events promoting dialogue on higher education, mobility and cooperation. 
• Capacity building and training: Workshops and mentoring initiatives supporting students and alumni before, during and after mobility. 
• Local and regional initiatives: Outreach and community-based actions bringing opportunities closer to young people. 
• Participation and engagement: Peer exchange, volunteering and collaboration that strengthen belonging within the network.

The Annual General Forum (AGF) is ASAF’s main annual gathering. It brings members together to exchange experiences, reflect on progress and shape the future of the network. 

ASAF also holds an Annual Public Conference, opening ASAF to wider audiences through panel discussions, public dialogue and outreach on higher education and mobility.
