If you’re a member of the WBAA Albania and Kosovo* Chapters, take this special opportunity to apply for one of the open positions on the WBAA Regional Board.
We are specifically looking for the following new WBAA Regional Board members:
- Albania Chapter: 2 National Representatives (Board Members)
- Kosovo* Chapter: 1 National Representative (Board Member)
You can present your candidacy if you have been a member of one of these Chapters and have been registered in the WBAA Online Community for at least 6 months.
Timeline of the Election Process
Candidates can submit applications between 5 August and 19 August. Promotion for the candidates will start on 24 August through 2 September. Voting will be open between 3 September and 10 September. The handover from the outgoing to the newly elected Board Members will begin afterwards and is expected to be formally completed during the next WBAA Board Meeting.
Responsibilities of Regional Board Members
The Regional Board is the decision-making and management body of WBAA. It consists of twelve members – two representatives from each of the six WBAA Chapters.

Engagement in the Regional Board is voluntary and based on democratic principles, including the rule of the majority.
Members of the Regional Board meet at least once every two months online and at least three times per year in person.
According to the WBAA Statute, the Regional Board shall:
- Represent WBAA in public and during events.
- Manage strategic and other relevant activities of WBAA between two General Assembly Meetings.
- Ensure logistical support for strategic, operational and financial plans of WBAA.
- Conclude and terminate agreements in collaboration with external partners. Present reports on national and regional activities at every Board Meeting.
- Convene the General Assembly Meeting.
- Prepare and present internal regulations, the Annual Working Plan, and the Annual Working Report to the General Assembly.
- Mandate WBAA Teams and delegate specific tasks.
- Appoint rapporteurs from the Regional Board for each WBAA Team.
- Decide which WBAA Teams or activities should receive specific support.
- Execute other responsibilities defined in the WBAA Statute or assigned by the General Assembly.
Regional Board members are elected for a two-year mandate.
Voting will take place through the WBAA Community Portal.
