
What is the OCEANS Network?
OCEANS is a global alumni network for students and alumni who have taken part in international credit mobility between Erasmus+ and partner-country universities. It brings together individuals, universities and partners involved in international exchange worldwide.
Who can join OCEANS?
OCEANS is open to students and alumni who have taken part in Erasmus+ international credit mobility between Erasmus+ programme countries and partner countries, where the mobility was funded by Erasmus+ and resulted in academic credits. Alumni of earlier EU-funded bilateral exchange programmes with countries such as Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and the USA are also eligible.
Is membership of OCEANS free?
Yes. Membership of OCEANS is free of charge.
What does OCEANS do?
OCEANS supports intercultural exchange and global dialogue while promoting members’ personal and professional development. The network also helps universities engage in international credit mobility and strengthen the internationalisation of higher education.
What opportunities are available to OCEANS members?
Members can:
- Take part in events around the world
- Join workshops and skill-building activities
- Apply for funding to organise their own projects or events
- Publish articles and contribute to network activities
- Build an international professional network
- Travel and accommodation support may be available for selected activities.
How is OCEANS organised?
OCEANS is a volunteer-led network supported by the European Commission and its service provider. Members play an active role in shaping activities and initiatives.
How do I join OCEANS?
You can join OCEANS by registering through the OCEANS online community platform. Once you confirm your participation in Erasmus+ international credit mobility, you will be able to create a profile and access OCEANS activities and opportunities
