OCEANS Governance

OCEANS is governed by a coordinating board, the Network's executive body with a one-year mandate. It comprises seven members: President, Vice-President, and five team Heads.

Statute and Rules of Procedure

The structure and governance of OCEANS follow the principle of democratic representation and are guided by the core values of excellence, respect, accountability and progressiveness in terms of internationalisation, sustainable development, and diversity. 

The OCEANS Statute and rules of procedure define the rules of governance in ensuring the democratic safeguarding of the organisation’s Board elections and its operations and functions.

2026 OCEANS Board

 

The Coordinating Board is the decision-making body of the OCEANS Network. It is composed of seven members: the President, the Vice-President, and the Heads of five teams.
