Alumni activities
The Erasmus+ International Student and Alumni Networks support framework contract provides operational support to four Erasmus+ International Student and Alumni networks: EMA, OCEANS, ESN and garagErasmus. In addition to these, it extends its support to two regional platforms, ASAF and WBAA.
Another component of the support programme is to help the members to build their competences and to enhance their role as ambassadors of the Erasmus+ programme through trainings, activities and events organised all over the world.
Network members of ESAA and the regional networks can develop and lead their own activities to support local, community-based activities.
Supported activities
A wide range of activities can be supported, including:
- Networking and professional development opportunities
- Promotion of European Union programmes to broader audiences
- Sharing personal Erasmus+ experiences to encourage participation
- Grassroots initiatives that benefit local communities
- Mentoring activities to guide and inspire future Erasmus+ participants
All activities must be endorsed by the relevant network boards and take place in eligible Erasmus+ countries. Support is strategically allocated across regions, with 40% directed to EU Member States and countries associated with the programme, 20% to Sub-Saharan Africa, and smaller allocations to other regions including the Western Balkans, South Mediterranean, Asia, Latin America and North America.
Cross network collaboration is strongly encouraged. Activities may also be implemented in cooperation with EU Delegations (EUDs), Erasmus+ National Focal Points (ENFPs), National Erasmus+ Offices (NEOs) and other EU, national, or local stakeholders, helping to extend both impact and reach.

2026 alumni activities
In the first 2026 round, Erasmus+ alumni volunteers have been supported to organise and deliver 37 activities, reaching more than 1 900 participants in their local communities and countries. These activities placed a strong emphasis on alumni engagement, motivating future Erasmus+ participants, and creating positive local impact.
2025 alumni activities
In 2025, Erasmus+ alumni volunteers dedicated their time and expertise to organise and deliver 95 activities, reaching more than 6 000 participants in their local communities and countries. These activities focused on engaging alumni, inspiring future Erasmus+ participants, and generating a positive impact at local level.
