Roshan Halkoree

Roshan Halkhoree is Director of the Centre for Information Technology and Systems (CITS) at the University of Mauritius, with extensive experience in ICT leadership, digital transformation, and skills development. Throughout his career, he has applied strong leadership and technical expertise to advance the strategic use of ICT through the implementation of innovative projects within higher education and institutional settings.
His academic background includes an MBA in International Business, a Master’s degree in Information and Communication Technologies (with Distinction), a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership Development in ICT and the Knowledge Society from Dublin City University. A certified Cisco Academy Instructor and Instructor Trainer, Roshan actively delivers training in networking, cybersecurity, IoT, and cyber operations. He is currently pursuing a PhD in AI‑enabled digital transformation.
Roshan has been actively involved in the African Students and Alumni Forum (ASAF) since 2021 and served as ASAF Co‑Ambassador of Mauritius for the 2022–2024 term. Through his professional and academic engagement, he is committed to strengthening digital capacity, leadership, and innovation to support inclusive development and international collaboration.
