Pakistan
Shummaila Rasheed – Pakistan
Shummaila Rasheed, a distinguished PhD Mechanical Engineer and respected lecturer at a prestigious Pakistani university, proudly represents her nation within the OCEANS Network. With a passion for advancing mechanical engineering and a commitment to nurturing future engineers, her role exemplifies OCEANS' values of excellence and innovation.
Her expertise and dedication make her a valuable asset, contributing significantly to the network's mission of fostering collaboration and growth in the field.
Palestine
Dua Omari – Palestine
Dua is a committed National Representative for Palestine. She holds a degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing studies in Contemporary Visual Arts at Birzeit University.
Dua is interested in academia and creativity.
Peru
Delvick Pizarro – Peru
Delvick has been a member of the OCEANS Network since his participation in the Erasmus mobility programme at Vienna University of Economics and Business in 2022. He graduated from the University of the Pacific in Peru with a degree in Economics.
His undergraduate studies were funded through a scholarship from Banco de Crédito del Perú, and currently, he is employed in the credit risk department of the same bank.
He has actively taken part in various volunteer programmes in Peru focused on education, and he frequently delivers motivational talks to students about scholarship opportunities available for studying both within Peru and abroad.
Philippines
Gerwin John D. Rodriguez – Philippines
Gerwin is a physician in the Philippines with big dreams to improve the public health system in his country.
Outside work, Gerwin loves to travel, meet different people, eat and try new things!
Russia
Mariia Vasileva – Russia
Mariia represents the Russian Federation in the OCEANS Network and is from St Petersburg, the cultural capital of Russia.
She graduated with an MA in Linguistics from St Petersburg State University in 2022. During her master’s degree, she spent one semester as an Erasmus+ student at Trier University, Germany in 2021.
Currently, she is keen to start a new research project as a PhD student, contributing to the field of cultural linguistics.
She is open to cooperation with universities, Erasmus students and alumni in Russia. Feel free to send her an email if you have any questions or suggestions.
South Korea
Sunhee Kim – South Korea
Sunhee has been part of the OCEANS Network since her Erasmus credit mobility at Tallinn University in Estonia in 2011.
She received a BA in Education from Chungbuk National University in Korea, and an M.Ed in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Washington in the United States.
Tunisia
Nosra Methneni – Tunisia
Nosra Methneni holds a PhD degree from Monastir University, Tunisia in Biological Sciences and Biotechnology, completed in 2021.
Her career has been marked by mobility across high-level institutions in Brussels, Spain and France, where she worked with leading scientists and supervised promising students.
Currently, she works as a postdoctoral researcher in the chemistry laboratory for Water‑Soil‑Biosolids at the University of Carthage, Tunisia, focusing on water chemical pollution and emerging pollutants.
She is an active participant in national and international scientific congresses through posters and oral communications.
Turkey
Mansur Ali Bilgiç – Turkey
Mansur Ali completed his undergraduate studies at Istanbul University, specialising in Political Science and International Relations.
He spent one semester of his undergraduate programme at the University of Warsaw as an ERASMUS+ exchange student.
Currently, he is pursuing his master's degree at Istanbul University within the same department, while also working as a news editor.
