Representatives of higher education institutions in the Dominican Republic participated in an Erasmus+ information session focused on mobility opportunities for students, academic staff, and institutions.
The session brought together 18 representatives from Dominican higher education institutions and provided an overview of the Erasmus+ programme, its main objectives, and the opportunities available through higher education mobility actions.
The event featured presentations by Martina Bo from the Erasmus Student Network and Alexander Götz, Attaché at the Delegation of the European Union to the Dominican Republic. They highlighted the Erasmus+ mobility opportunities for students and staff and the key aspects of institutional participation in the programme. This includes the potential for stronger partnerships between higher education institutions in the Dominican Republic and institutions in Europe and other participating countries.
The session was organised by Celeste Castillo Roa, Erasmus+ National Focal Point for the Dominican Republic and Head of Institutional Development at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology(MESCyT).
Through her role as Erasmus+ National Focal Point, Ms Castillo Roa supports the dissemination of information about Erasmus+ opportunities and helps connect Dominican institutions and potential applicants with relevant programme information and resources. Her work contributes to increasing awareness of Erasmus+ and encouraging greater participation by higher education institutions in the country.
The information session was the latest in a series of events raising awareness Erasmus+ opportunities for the Dominican higher education sector.
