The European Union (EU) is committed to enhancing global cooperation in education, research, and innovation to tackle the pressing challenges of our time. With Europe positioned as a hub for scientific excellence and educational leadership, the EU seeks to create opportunities for collaboration with global partners by strengthening global networks and investing in high-quality educational and research ecosystems. In line with this, the EU's Global Approach to Research and Innovation emphasizes openness, collaboration, and inclusivity, encouraging partnerships that transcend borders. This approach seeks to align various EU programs—such as Horizon Europe's Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), and Erasmus+—to maximize their impact globally. These programs are instrumental in advancing the EU's research and innovation agendas, fostering synergies that enhance both education and scientific progress.
The webinar explored the synergies between these programs. Through the participation of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions National Contact Points (MSCA NCPs) and the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) together with the Erasmus+ National Focal Points from Latin America, the Caribbean and the Pacific, participants gained valuable insights into leveraging these synergies to foster international collaborations and maximize their impact in education and research.
