This State-of-Play report explores the current state of digitalisation in Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's programmes and examines how shared digital systems can strengthen programme implementation across international consortia. The aim is to provide background knowledge and support expert-level discussions among participants during the thematic seminar Digitalisation in Erasmus Mundus, held online on the 30th of September 2026. Specifically, the report examines the added value of shared digital systems for joint selection, admission and enrolment, as well as for learning, teaching, assessment, and recognition. It also identifies the key technological, organisational and pedagogical conditions for successful digital transformation, analyses current challenges and limitations, and highlights existing digital tools, good practices and future opportunities to further advance digitalisation in Erasmus Mundus programmes.
